Role Purpose
Development of extensive media knowledge base across all media (traditional and alternative) for the Qatar market. Includes research both Quantitative and Qualitative. Develop annual media strategy that optimises media spend and effectiveness. Plan media activities on an annual, quarterly, monthly and weekly basis. Seek out innovative mediums to drive brand messages and manage all negotiations with media owners. Execute against plans by effecting the media buying and ensuring that material reaches the media owners on time. Post campaign analyses to determine the efficacy of each campaign and report on learning’s and direct media investment decisions.

- Assist in the formulation of annual brand strategies & plans that deliver against business objectives
- Development of media knowledge base
Planning
- Efficient and effective use of resources in order to deliver brand and campaign plans
- Develop media campaigns that help achieve product revenue targets
- Develop campaigns that are innovative and use media innovatively, efficiently and effectively
Measurement
- Effective and in depth analysis of media efficacy (post campaign analyses)
- Apply findings into driving efficiencies, savings and better media investment decisions
General
- Must be a team player
- Lives the brand values
- Work with a holistic view, i.e. Brand + Propositions+ Customer segments+ Channels

Financial (limits/mandates etc.)
- Deliver media plans that enable effective cut through in media to drive brand and proposition messages that contribute to key metrics, i.e. revenue, share and BHT.

- Build relationships with all media owners.

Person Specification :
Competency / Performance Driver:
- Seasoned media professional within a media agency or current media manager at a corporate
- Understands brand building
- Good business acumen
- Ability to execute
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Passion for consumer insight and its application within media environment
- Strong Creative thinking skills for application of non-traditional media
- Strong values alignment, i.e. Can Do, Vitality & Worldliness
- Must love media planning, passionate about metrics and analysis
Technical / Professional Expertise:
- Must have at least 5 + years “Media Management “ experience for big brands preferably a multi-national.
- Has worked for a media agency in a mature market & experienced in media metrics and planning
- Has worked for a media agency in the GCC ( Not Mandatory)
- Strong media research understanding/skills, Analytical skills, Strategically sound, project management, Ability to budget
