Reporting to: Director- International Carrier and Roaming Services

Business Unit: Group International Business

VERY STRONG EXPERTISE IN :

• Atleast 12 Yrs Experience in Telecom, senior role in international carrier services / roaming, preferably including the MENA region. Direct experience in international Voice & Data traffic agreements and settlement processes with Telecom Operator.

ROLE & CONTEXT

Purpose and Context: Provide support to develop, implement and maintain Group global carrier services strategy

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Support to develop and maintain Group preferred roaming & Carrier services strategy
• Support to develop, negotiate and maintain Group-level frame agreements and relationships for international traffic and preferred roaming arrangements and related platforms where mandated
• Support resources for review of operating company strategic plans and budgets
• Establishment of Group-wide KPI’s to support analysis & decisions across the Group
• Cross-Operation Forum Program support for carrier services and roaming
• Support to the Group’s representatives to regional and global telecom associations

Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge

Good knowledge of international telecom networks and international carriers, together with agreements for carriage and termination of international traffic

Minimum Entry Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years telecom experience, including reasonably senior role in international carrier services / roaming, preferably including the MENA region
• Previous position in carrier services / roaming in an international telecom company with GSM operations (Minimum 5-7 years)
• Direct experience in international traffic agreements and settlement processes

SKILLS

Technical

• Strong knowledge of international network facilities & traffic clearing, reporting & settlement systems  engineering & systems management
• Good understanding of technology trends, best practices & management of technology innovation operations
• Strong understanding of economic norms, trends and implications of international traffic, both voice & data
• Extensive knowledge of international roaming practices, agreements, network platforms, and related trends.
