Job Title :  “Asst Director – Product Development”.

 

Department / Section: Operations/ Marketing

Reporting to: Director – Product Development

 

ROLE & CONTEXT

STRONG EXPERIENCE : Product Marketing &  Product Development, Special Emphasis on ” M-Payments”, ” M-Commerce”  VAS  Domain Background. 

Objectives of the role:

1. Strategize and develop innovative products for various markets that will drive better overall revenues, market share, competitiveness, and brand image in the long run.
2. Manage the process by working closely with Opcos to establish Group Product Roadmap
3. Develop business case analysis for new products and the impacts on profit, competition, revenues and market share.
4. Manage end-to-end Product Development life-cycle by working closely with the Group OPEX to ensure successful implementation of product launches.
5. Develop and Maintain Strategic Alliance relationship with:

• Content Partners
• Key Application and Platform Providers
• Device Manufacturers

1. Assist in the establishing best practices and processes for the group in the area of product innovation.
2. Define quantitative & qualitative processes for periodic fundamental marketing research of diverse products and services.
3. Lead and participate specific workgroups within the Marketing Forum structure to ensure key marketing / product initiatives are driven through to meet end goals.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be an industry expert in the area of mobile product development or  management  
• Knowledge and experience in Product Development life-cycle in telco industry
• Strong Project Management skills.
• Experience in dealing with Strategic Partnership with external parties; previous experience within the mobile content space would definitely be an asset
• Ability to establish sound Business Case Analysis and Market Intelligence
• Sound knowledge and understanding of the end-to-end technical implications of the mobile value chain (i.e. end user devices,  applications, enabling platforms, and basic mobile infrastructure)

Minimum Entry Qualifications

• Total Corporate experience of 10+ years.
• 6+ year’s proven experience of Product Development and Business Analysis in a key role within telco/mobile operation.
• Good knowledge of the Product Development life-cycle and Project Management in cross-team environment
• Proactive mind-set and has the ability to work across diverse markets and cultures.
