The Client is one of the premier integrated liquefied natural gas (LNG) enterprises in the world. Has world class facilities for the extraction, storage, processing and export of LNG and entered into long-term agreements to supply customers around the globe.
Job Title Proposed: HR Advisor
Direct Supervisor: HR Manager
1 Job Purpose:
Assists HRM with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties in Plant. Manages the administration of the human resources policies, procedures and programs.
2 Key Result Areas:
- Contributes to the accomplishment of Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide a high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a workforce.
- Helps with the implementation of HR services, policies, and programs and assist Plant managers with HR issues.
- Lead site HR team, programs and initiatives to a high level of performance, creating an enabling service which supports corporate policy across the Plant.
- Supervises the creation and control of manpower budget and reports for HR.
- Facilitates the maintenance of Operations Group’s organizational charts, manpower budget and keeps track of subsequent changes.
- Ensures that the system of job analysis and evaluation of jobs across the Plant operates effectively to meet company objectives.
- Ensures proper follow-up on queries’ raised by Operations Group for promotions and salary increase.
- Ensures company policies and procedures operate in an effective and efficient manner in accordance with the strategic plan and corporate objectives.
- Coordinates all the immigration policies and procedures, requirements and activities ensuring the smooth passage of all Plant employees and their families into the country and the company.
- Oversees and coordinate all facets of the day-to-day activities of Human Resources activities in Plant for encouraging teamwork and continuous improvement.
4 Operating Environment, Framework and Boundaries:
- Works in a fairly well structured environment where guidelines are clear but procedures are continuing to develop inline with business requirements.
·Works within multinational, multicultural environment under well defined reporting structure.
5 Communications and Working Relationships:
- Regularly meets with HR Manager to discuss work plans and developments.
- Regular contact with Operations Group Manager / Lines Manager to prioritise and allocate work, check on progress and to provide guidance and direction.
6 Problem Solving/Complexity:
- The jobholder must exhibit a high level of analytical and conceptual thinking skills when recommending modifications or enhancements in resolving day to day problems.
- The job holder should use influencing skills to gain agreement from management and develop an implementation plan.
7 Decision Making Authority and Responsibility:
- Carries out independent decisions within fairly broad guidelines and policies.
- Plans and implements own work methods and projects and receive advice and direction from HR Manager.
- Has total authority to perform own technical aspect of the job.
- Exercises a high degree of personal judgement and initiative.
8 Knowledge Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Commerce and Post graduate studies in HR disciplines.
- Commercial, business and HR knowledge and experience of minimum 10 years, preferably 3 years in a similar role in a multi-cultural environment.
- Computer literate and familiar with SAP systems.
- Able to demonstrate outstanding inter-personal, communication and negotiation skills.
