ROLE TITLE: Legal Manager

REPORTS TO: Director of Legal, Regulatory and External Relations and Company Secretary

FUNCTION: Legal

DEPARTMENT: Regulatory & External Relations

 

ROLE PURPOSE:

To work with local and international in-house and external lawyers, to provide legal support to the company’s business teams and help the company to make a world of difference to the people in Qatar.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

Key Accountabilities:

• Responsibilities include:
• Securing approvals required for business;
• Draft and negotiate agreements and contracts;
• Advising business on legal issues;
• Supporting Company Secretary on Board and Doha Securities Markets reporting requirements;
• Handling litigation matters;

Technical / Professional Expertise:

• Qualified Lawyer with 3-5 years post qualification experience
• Telecoms experience highly desirable (either Operator or Vendor). If no Corporate experience then the person needs to have excellent experience in a Law firm having managed Legal assignments for Telecom customers.
• High fluency in English & Arabic – oral, writing & reading – this is an absolute must.
• Excellent experience in Contract Drafting, Negotiating Agreements is extremely critical.
